Obsidian

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass, usually black or dark brown, known for its smooth, glassy texture and conchoidal fracture. It belongs to the mineraloid group (lacking a crystalline structure) and forms when felsic lava cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Spiritually, it is often associated with psychic protection, grounding, dispelling of negativity, and spirit communication. Chemically, its approximate composition is SiO₂ with minor amounts of magnesium and iron oxides.
