Lodestone

Lodestone is a naturally magnetized variety of magnetite, an iron oxide mineral known for its strong magnetic properties. It is typically black to dark gray with a metallic luster and forms in igneous or metamorphic rocks rich in iron. Historically, lodestone was one of the earliest materials used to make compasses due to its natural magnetism. Spiritually, it is associated with grounding, attraction, and manifestation of goals. Chemically, its formula is Fe₃O₄.
