Garnet

Garnet is a group of silicate minerals that occur in a wide range of colors, most commonly deep red, and are widely used as gemstones and abrasives. They belong to the silicate mineral group and are typically found in metamorphic rocks such as schist and gneiss, as well as some igneous rocks. Spiritual association with garnet can vary depending on their type, which include grossular, spessartine, rhodolite, almandine, andradite, and uvarovite. Chemically, their general formula is X₃Y₂(SiO₄)₃.
