Franklinite

Franklinite is a black zinc iron oxide mineral valued as an ore of zinc, iron, and manganese, easily recognized by its metallic to submetallic luster. It belongs to the oxide mineral group and is commonly found in metamorphosed zinc deposits, especially at Franklin and Sterling Hill, New Jersey. Spiritually, it is often associated with strength, grounding, and protection from negative energies. Chemically, its formula is (Zn,Fe²⁺,Mn²⁺)(Fe³⁺,Mn³⁺)₂O₄.
