Calcite

Calcite is a colorless to white or variously tinted carbonate mineral valued for its decorative use, often noted for its strong double refraction and rhombohedral crystals. It belongs to the carbonate mineral group and is one of the most common minerals, forming in sedimentary, metamorphic, and igneous environments. Spiritually, it is often associated with cleansing, energy amplification, and opening awareness. Chemically, its formula is CaCO₃.
